Terms of service
1. Overview
These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between HappyDais Tutoring (“the Tutor”) and the parent/guardian (“the Client”) of the enrolled child (“the Student”).
2. Services

Small-group tutoring for children aged 4–7.

Sessions take place in a local venue under direct supervision at all times.

Lessons follow the UK National Curriculum framework for phonics, reading, writing and maths.
3. Fees and Payment

Payment must be made in advance of each session or block booking.

Fees are non-refundable unless covered under the Refund Policy.

Sessions missed without 24 hours’ notice are chargeable in full.

Invoices and receipts are provided on request.
4. Attendance and Punctuality

Parents are responsible for ensuring children arrive and are collected on time.

If a child arrives late, the session will still finish at the scheduled time.

Persistent lateness or absences may result in withdrawal of a place.

Parents must drop off and collect their children directly.

Authorised adults for collection must be listed in writing; photo ID will be required if unfamiliar.

Children remain supervised until collected.

If a child is not collected within 15 minutes, parents are contacted; if unreachable, emergency contacts are called.

After 30 minutes with no contact, safeguarding procedures will be followed.
5. Behaviour

Respectful behaviour is expected at all times.

HappyDais promotes kindness, respect, and teamwork.

Children are expected to listen, share, and behave safely.

Behaviour management steps:

Gentle reminder.
-
Short time-out or redirection.
-
Parent informed after session.
-
Persistent issues may result in the child losing their place.

Bullying or unkind behaviour is not tolerated and will be discussed with parents immediately.

Repeated disruption may result in temporary or permanent removal from sessions, with no refund for remaining lessons.
6. Health and Safety

The Tutor holds an Enhanced DBS check and has a safeguarding policy in place.

Parents must inform the Tutor of any medical or SEND needs prior to enrolment.

A basic first aid kit is available; serious incidents will be referred to emergency services.

Children are under direct supervision at all times.

Emergency contact and medical information are collected for all children.
-
Fire and evacuation procedures are in place, with a safe meeting point outside the building.

Insurance policies cover public liability and professional indemnity.
-
The environment is checked before each session for hazards (e.g. wires, spills, trip risks).
7. Liability

The Tutor is insured with public liability and professional indemnity cover.
-
HappyDais is not liable for accidental loss or damage to personal belongings brought to sessions.
8. Data Protection
Personal data is collected and stored securely in line with GDPR and the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes and Termination

HappyDais reserves the right to alter session times, locations, or fees with reasonable notice.

Parents may withdraw their child with one week’s notice.
