TUTOR IN HIGH WYCOMBE
At HappyDais, I specialise in teaching children from Reception to Year 3 in English and Maths. My aim is to help every child build strong, lasting foundations while keeping learning enjoyable, accessible and engaging. I believe that when children feel happy, confident and supported, they are far more open to exploring new ideas and challenging themselves — and that’s why every lesson is designed to be warm, encouraging and fun. By creating a positive learning environment, I ensure that children not only make progress but also develop a genuine love for learning.
My journey into teaching
My journey into education began at Bath Spa University, where I studied for a BA (Hons) in Early Years Education, graduating with a 2:1. It was during this time that I discovered just how much I love supporting children as they learn and grow. Wanting to take that passion further, I stayed at Bath Spa to complete my PGCE in Primary and Early Years (ages 5–11). This was such a rewarding experience, and I was incredibly proud to be graded as an Outstanding Teacher. These years of study not only gave me a strong foundation in teaching but also sparked the excitement I still feel every day about helping children reach their full potential.
My classroom experience
After graduating, I began my teaching career at Caversham Preparatory School, working in a Year 1 class. I then moved to London to continue my journey at Bonneville Primary School, where I gained a wide range of experience across different age groups. I spent two years in Reception, two years in Year 2, and a term in Year 3. This variety has given me a strong understanding of both the Early Years curriculum and the National Curriculum, as well as the confidence to support children at different stages of their learning journey.
Helping beyond the clasroom
After several years in the classroom, I realised how powerful it can be to give children more personalised support. In school, it isn’t always possible to focus on each child’s individual needs, and I wanted to create a space where children could learn at their own pace, build confidence, and feel proud of their progress. Tutoring allows me to do just that — tailoring lessons to each child, celebrating every small success, and helping them develop the skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond.
